From Saphir Release v5 the Application Hierarchy concept has been significantly extended to allow multiple ‘hierarchies’ to be shown.
Prior releases of Saphir represented the SAP Application Hierarchy as a SAP module list. Each module expandable to show sub modules and ‘Development Classes’, with the lowest level being Tables and Views ‘owned’ by that module. Each Table or View exists in only one place in the hierarchy.
This existing hierarchy structure is still available in Saphir 5, but in addition, a ‘SAP Program Tree’ is introduced. The SAP Program tree also has SAP modules as the highest hierarchy level, but subsequent levels are made up of SAP Components, Programs and Transactions and their associated Tables and Views.
Saphir users are now able to determine the actual Tables used by the SAP system, by any given Component, Program or Transaction. A tree node search feature can be used to rapidly locate the required node, and once the associated program has been identified the associated tables and /or views are available for browsing, or inclusion in a Subject Area.
