From Saphir Release v5 the Application Hierarchy concept has been significantly extended  by the introduction of an Application, Screens and Views’ tree. 

This existing hierarchy structure is still available, but the new Application, Screens and Views’ tree has Siebel Applications as the highest hierarchy level and subsequent levels are made up of Siebel Screens, Siebel Views and then their associated Business Components.

Saphir users can now quickly understand the links between a Siebel Screen and the underlying data structure via the Business Component layer.

Having located which Business Components are used by a particular screen, the Business Component then describes which Tables are used, a valuable tool in determining the lineage of Siebel Screens.
