Safyr for Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a powerful metadata visualization and discovery technology product that your data analysts and data scientists can use to gain insight into and exploit the data architecture in your own customized Microsoft Dynamics 365 systems. Safyr is particularly useful when you have significantly extended the set of standard Dynamics tables and/or you have multiple instances of Dynamics 365 to manage. Safyr reveals details of all the tables in the Dynamics instance, including any ‘User Defined’ tables.
It’s easy to search the tables and to see the numbers of relationships to other tables in the Dynamics system, and the volume of physical data in each table, using the Row Count.
Safyr extracts this information from Microsoft Dataverse (previously known as the Common Data Service) by using an API connection provided by our partner PascalCase. This means that Safyr retrieves any tables which it finds there, including tables created as a customisation to 365 or as part of an application built using PowerApps. The results are stored in a Safyr repository and can be searched, analyzed, visualized and subset for onward processing.
Each table can be expanded to show all the Fields, the Primary Key and Foreign Keys, all based upon the definitions drawn from the Dynamics environment.
Safyr extracts Relationship information to help the user understand how Dynamics 365 joins tables. Using this information, details of the related tables for a given table can be displayed.
